Moreshet
has recently dedicated its new Synagogue (Heichal HaZvi), named after Zvi Katz
z"l, the father of one of our congregants. We are very proud of this new
addition. However, this is a small building that holds only a small number
of congregants, not enough for our requirements.
Along with the usual three times daily prayer, Moreshet currently has three overflowing
Minyanim on Shabbat in temporary buildings.
On Mondays and Thursdays we periodically host Bar-Mitzvahs of boys from the surrounding communities.
In a renewal of ancient custom, some of us have embarked on prayer in nearby
ancient Yodfat on Rosh Chodesh. If you are interested in a religious celebration at our Shul, please email us or contact the office.
We are in the process of building a new central synagogue. Plans (Main
Floor) (and Second Floor) have already been drawn up.
You can also see a realistic image here and here
of the
future building. On Sept. 2, 1999 we placed the cornerstone for the new
building. Funds were gathered from individual members, but we are still quite
short of our goal.Over the years we have received a number of contributions, large and small. We wish to thank those that have donated to the fund, anonymously or otherwise. Know that your contribution is very much appreciated.
