A Member of Young Israel

Along with the usual three times daily prayer, Moreshet currently has three overflowing Minyanim on Shabbat in temporary buildings.

On Mondays and Thursdays we periodically host Bar-Mitzvahs of boys from the surrounding communities. In a renewal of ancient custom, some of us have embarked on prayer in nearby ancient Yodfat on Rosh Chodesh. If you are interested in a religious celebration at our Shul, please email us or contact the office.

Please help with the new building

We are in the process of building a new central synagogue. Plans (Main Floor) (and Second Floor) have already been drawn up. You can also see a realistic image (125K) of the future building. On Sept. 2, 1999 we placed the cornerstone for the new building. Funds were gathered from individual members, but we are still quite short of our goal.

The planned shul will accommodate about 450 congregants in the main hall and another 100 each in the two adjoining halls. In addition to regular prayers, a large library will host several shiurim (classes). Additionally, a social hall will serve as the social center of the community.

The lower floor containing the social hall, which we use as our temporary synagogue, is mostly complete, financed by resources raised from each member family. However, these limited funds are not sufficient to bring this project to its successful completion.
