Given the large
number of children and our
desire to give them a unique school experience, we decided to open an
Torah-oriented religious elementary
school in Moreshet. Each grade consists of two classes, one for girls and
one for boys, and runs from grade 1 though 6..
Two primary buildings house a total of twelve regular classrooms and two central atriums.
The atriums are used in assemblies and in informal studies.
An adjoining building is set up for the administration and teacher's room.
Another adjoining building is set up as a library. A large courtyard greets the children every
morning. A large school yard with basketball courts are
on the premises.
The school is of course geared toward the religious-Zionist ideal, and
stresses the unique heritage of the surrounding area - the Yodfat Mountains,
with a strong emphasis on the environment. The
school is open to all children of the Misgav municipality
(Gush
Segev), and we
are eager to have children from various Yeshuvim within the Gush join us in our
school. Children from religious families in Eshchar have joined our school
already.
Middle schools in the Krayot
generally provide schooling for older children. High school aged children
attend schools from even further afield, depending upon their interests.
